The System Tester is responsible for executing the System tests, including:

  • Test set-up and execution
  • Evaluation of test execution and recovery from errors
  • Assessing the results of test and logging identified defects

The appropriate skills and knowledge for the System Tester include:

  • Knowledge of the system or application-under-test
  • Knowledge of testing and test automation tools
  • Diagnostic and problem solving skills
  • Programming skills (desirable, but not required)
