Tool Mentor: Using Rational Rose® to Detail Business Workers and Entities
Purpose
To represent the results of the Activity: Detail a Business Worker and Activity: Detail a Business Entity in in Rational Rose®.
Overview
The following steps are performed to record the results of detailing business workers and entities:
1. Create Operations 
To create an operation:
- In the browser, right-click to select the class in which the new operation will be placed. Select Open Specification from the short-cut menu.
- Select the Operations tab from the Class Specification.
- Right click in the operation pane and select Insert from the short-cut menu.
- Double-click on the new operation to display the Operation Specification.
- Enter the name of the operation in the Name field.
- Enter a brief description for the operation describing its purpose in the Documentation field.
- Click "OK" to save the operation specification.
- Click "OK" to save the class specification.
2. Create Attributes
To create an attribute:
- In the browser, right-click to select the class in which the new attribute will be placed. Select Open Specification from the short-cut menu.
- Select the Attributes tab from the Class Specification.
- Right click in the attribute pane and select Insert from the short-cut menu.
- Double-click on the new attribute to display the Attribute Specification.
- Enter the name of the attribute in the Name field.
- Enter a brief description for the attribute describing its purpose in the Documentation field.
- Click "OK" to save the attribute specification.
- Click "OK" to save the class specification.
3. Move Attributes and Operations
To move an operation or an attribute:
- In the browser, left-click to select the operation or attribute you want to move.
- In the browser, drag and drop the operation or attribute to the class you want to move it to.
