OverviewThis Tool Mentor is applicable when running Windows NT 4.0. Within ClearQuest, each change request is stored as a record that consists of all the data related to it. ClearQuest lets you have different types of records for different projects and uses. Each record type has unique fields and data requirements. Records are stored in a database that can be queried to help you track change requests as they move through your system of change request management. Your ClearQuest administrator can create a custom record set for your site. You can use one record type, such as a defect, for all change requests, or you can use different record types for different purposes. Tool Steps for using ClearQuest to submit a change request Your ClearQuest administrator can create a customized record form that includes information about your site or project.
