Новый экзамен состоит из 65 вопросов. Продолжительность его составит 90 минут. Экзамен не сождержит симуляторов. О пересмотре сертификата Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), самого высокого уровня CCDA, ни Стерн, ни Битти ничего не сказали.
Сертификация CCDA впервые была выпущена в 1992 году, и в последний раз апдейт проводился в мае 2004 года. Стерн не назвал точного числа всех специалистов, получивших сертификат CCDA, но сказал, что это это число составляет три четверти наиболее популярной сертификации Cisco? с общим числом сертификатов в десятки тысяч.
